Subscription plans include free screening reports each month; additional reports are billed per report at your tier's rate. Rental history is always free.

Full credit reports require a deeper data partnership and compliance infrastructure. We've made them available at Growth ($8/report) and Portfolio tier to ensure landlords have the tools they need when managing larger portfolios, while keeping the platform affordable for smaller landlords.

AI credits power features like AI lease generation (25 credits), risk scoring (10 credits), maintenance triage (3 credits), and listing copy (4 credits). Your subscription includes monthly credits, and you can purchase more any time. Credits never expire.

When you set an application fee, applicants pay it through Stripe. You earn 50% of the fee, and VerticalRent retains 50% for platform and screening costs. This is deposited directly to your connected bank account.

Yes. VerticalRent operates as a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We maintain full audit logs of all screening activity, capture permissible purpose at time of order, and include adverse action notice functionality.

Absolutely. Cancel anytime from your account settings. Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period and then reverts to the Free tier.

Yes — rental history / SSN trace is complimentary for both landlords and renters. Renters get their first report free; subsequent reports are $5 each. It's our way of giving everyone a baseline tool for rental verification.
